Get your child’s bedroom back-to-school ready

Those lazy summer days are over, and your little ones are back from camp.

Those lazy summer days are over, and your little ones are back from camp. With the last summer weekends approaching, it’s time to start thinking about getting ready to head back to class. Pack away the sandals and beach balls, and pull out the backpacks and lunch boxes!

From elementary school to university, your children can benefit from a home that’s organized for study, sports and other extra-curricular activities. Here’s some August homework that will ensure that your kids’ homework gets done in September!

  • Take stock in the bedroom: Do a closet and toy purge. Have your kids outgrown the uniforms and shoes from last year? Pack away things to donate in organizing bins, and tidy up the closet and shelves, so textbooks and binders have a place to go.
  • Check: Does the gear fit the year? Your children’s taste will change as they grow up. When they are in middle school, they’ll want a place to do their homework and hang out with their friends on their own. Add study options to complement their existing beautiful Bolton furniture.
  • Prioritize sleep: Young minds need to catch plenty of shut-eye to be active, engaged students. Establish a routine and make sure that the bedroom environment maximizes those precious hours: outfit the windows with light-blocking curtains, and soundproof the room as much as possible. And of course, make sure you have a quality bed and mattress that’s comfortable.

Good luck with the kids, and here’s hoping that they might even keep their rooms clean this year!
